MESA BURDICKMember of CDP since 2021
Mesa was born in Sunnyvale California. She began her training with Ballet San Jose in 2009, where she would eventually transition into their studio company. She grew up dancing roles such as Clara, the White Swan, and Sleeping Beauty. Mesa began building her repertoire as a trainee with Silicon Valley Ballet in 2016, dancing Corps De Ballet roles in ballets such as Alicia Alonzo’s Giselle, and Karen Gabay’s The Nutcracker. During this time, she was also invited to work with Smuin Ballet in their performance of The Christmas Ballet. In 2018, she moved to Portland Oregon where she joined the Oregon Ballet Theater Second Company. She danced Corps De Ballet roles in several of the professional Company’s Ballets during her year there. Among them were George Balanchine’s Nutcracker, August Bournonville's Napoli, and Ben Stevenson’s Cinderella. The year following, she signed with Sacramento Ballet, dancing in Amy Seiwert’s The Nutcracker and Beer & Ballet in her first season. She is very excited to join Capital Dance Project, and work along side the amazing artists who make it possible. |
