Originally from Santa Cruz, CA, Lauryn returns to Capital Dance Project with her recognizable vigor & beauty that Sacramento audiences have come to appreciate. She began her dance training at Santa Cruz Ballet Theater under the direction of Diane (McLarty) Cypher & Robert Kelley, before completing her dance studies as a member of the Pacific Northwest Professional Division & later as a part of Cincinnati Ballet II. In 2010 Lauryn joined the Sacramento Ballet and has risen through the ranks of the company to perform a wide variety of acclaimed ballets including: the title role of Giselle, Amy Seiwert’s Elpis and It’s Not A Cry, George Balanchine’s Star & Stripes (Liberty Bell), Tarantella, Apollo (Polyhymnia), Concerto Barocco and The Four Temperaments (Sanguinic). Lauryn can usually be spotted exploring the various restaurants & businesses around East Sac and Midtown with her husband, Robert, and her Belgian Malinois, Lila. |
