Jonathan HarrisThis season marks Mr. Harris’ stage debut with Capital Dance Project after previously appearing with the group for a collaboration at Beatnik Studios in 2015. This Texas native began his dance training at Dallas Ballet Center & continued his studies at the illustrious School of American Ballet in New York City for two years. Jonathon further advanced into the world of professional ballet working with The Washington Ballet & BalletMet in Columbus, OH, before heading west to join the Sacramento Ballet. His performance highlights include Gerald Arpino’s Viva Vivaldi!, Septime Weber’s Juanita & Alicia, Ma Cong’s Blood Rush, George Balanchine’s Who Cares?, Ron Cunningham’s Peter Pan (John Darling), Don Quixote (Basilio), Seven Deadly Sins (Gluttony). Jonathon’s choreographic credits include: It’s A Raggy Waltz for the SAB student choreographic workshop & Dances At An Exhibition for Sacramento Ballet’s ‘Beer & Ballet’ program. This summer Jonathon worked with the National Choreographer Initiative in Irvine, CA under the direction of Ms. Molly Lynch. As a road cycling enthusiast/ amateur racer with Team City Sacramento Jonathon’s favorite spot in Sacramento is undoubtedly the American River Bike Trail. “Variety is the spice of life…” – J. Harris
