A former artist of the Colorado Ballet, Sacramento Ballet & a founding member of Capital Dance Project, Ms. Turner is happy to return to Sacramento for this year’s CDP summer series. She trained privately with Nikoloz Makhateli in her hometown of Denver, Colorado before heading east to complete her dance education in Boca Raton, Florida at the prestigious HARID Conservatory. Performing career highlights consist of Agnes de Mille’s Rodeo & Lynn Taylor Corbett's Great Galloping Gottschalk with Colorado Ballet - as well as Marius Petipa’s Swan Lake, George Balanchine’s Tarantella, Who Cares? & Rubies with Sacramento Ballet. Currently dedicating much of her schedule to dancing in the Bay Area, Evelyn enjoys volunteering her spare time at the SPCA in the Shelter Medicine department. She is also presently enrolled in the LEAP program at Saint Mary's College and studying to eventually become a veterinary doctor. Her favorite Sac-town ‘spots’ include sipping coffee Old Soul and savoring Japanese cuisine at Kru.
