Ava ChattersonMs. Chatterson began her dance training in her hometown of Flint, Michigan at the Flint School of the Performing Arts. She later continued her dance education & studies at Indiana University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Ballet Performance with an Outside Field in Legal Studies. Ava completed her training at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Graduate Program before heading west to Sacramento, where she began her professional ballet career in 2010. A favorite of Sacramento audiences, she has been featured in the contemporary choreographic works of Darrell Grand Moultrie, Jodie Gates, Gabrielle Lamb, Edwaard Liang, Septime Webre, Trey McIntyre & Ma Cong... just to name a few. Other performance highlights include George Balanchine’s Rubies (Principal), Apollo (Calliope), Who Cares? & Western Symphony. Ms. Chatterson has also been a guest performer with the Oakland Ballet & will appear with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. this upcoming Autumn. When out of rehearsal & off-stage Ava enjoys exploring midtown on her bicycle & shopping around at local farmer’s markets.
