Big Day of Giving Success!
With a $5,000 match from Omar Haq and Conquer, Capital Dance Project (CDP) surpassed our $10,000 Big Day of Giving (BDOG) goal, for a total of $15,176 in donations! We are in awe!
THANK YOU to everyone who donated, joined us for our BDOG events, or helped spread the word. We are so grateful!
CDP is proud to live and serve in a community that values its local arts and non-profit organizations. We are humbled by the incredible display of generosity on BDOG, and look forward to bringing innovative and collaborative multi-media performances back to our city soon!
We Surpassed our End of Year Fundraising Goal!
We are thrilled to announce we reached and surpassed our $5,000 End of Year fundraising goal! We are beyond grateful!
Thanks to our incredible supporters, we faced the challenges of 2020 with creativity and perseverance. We presented CDP's Digital Series: Made in Sacramento, bringing 11 inspiring new works to our viewers free of charge, and providing employment to 29 local artists and dancers. We head into 2021 knowing that no matter what obstacles come our way, we will continue to make the arts thrive in our city and uplift our community through dance.
CDP Digital Series: Made in Sacramento!
Due to COVID-19, we postponed our 6th annual Behind the Barre performances to Fall of 2021. We look forward to bringing the highly acclaimed program back to the stage when it is safe for our audience and artists. Until then, we took on the challenge of bringing new works to our community safely with perseverance and creativity. In August 2020, we explored dance, choreography, and our vibrant Sacramento community in new and reimagined ways - on film!
CDP Digital Series: Made in Sacramento brings 11 new creations to your home, available FREE on our website and social media platforms. Choreographed by CDP artists, and in collaborations with filmmaker Brandon Manning, the series celebrates our Sacramento community with featured local artists, musicians, and city landmarks.
