Originally from Irvine, California Karina is a return artist with Capital Dance Project – after premiering her choreographic work Theme on a Crush in the 2015 ‘Behind the Barre’ showcase. She holds a BFA from the University of Utah and dedicates much of her time to teaching local area students the art of ballet performance. Ms. Hagemeyer has graced the Sacramento stage in such featured roles as George Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes (First Campaign Lead), Trey McIntyre’s Wild Sweet Love (Mexican Trio), Marius Petipa’s Swan Lake (Little Swan) & in the introductory performance of CDP’s: ‘Behind The Barre’. When not in the rehearsal studio she enjoys hiking the American River with her dog Winston and catching a bite to eat at Tres Hermanas. Karina would like to thank her family for always being so supportive of her dream to be a ballerina, & for being equally as supportive once it was time to move on.
