Ms. Feldman hails from Davis, California & received her main dance training at Pamela Hayes Classical Ballet in Folsom; while also attending the Natomas Charter Performing and Fine Arts Academy. As a founding member of Capital Dance Project, she played an integral role in the development of the organization’s mission and artistic integrity. Julia has choreographed for the Sacramento Ballet’s program ‘Beer & Ballet’ annually since 2012, as well as for the School of the Sacramento Ballet. Last year she presented her original work Les Petits Joies during the inaugural CDP presentation ‘Behind The Barre’. Ms. Feldman has appeared as a featured & principal dancer in numerous ballets including: Ron Cunningham’s Carmina Burana (The Swan), Ron Cunningham’s The Nutcracker (Snow Queen/ Rose), Ma Cong’s Blood Rush (1st Pas de Deux) & Jodie Gates’ Keep Me Wishing in the Dark. She has spent the past two summer’s collaborating with developing choreographers at the National Choreographer’s Initiative in Irvine, California under the direction of Ms. Molly Lynch. Some of Julia’s favorite Sac-town activities include lunch at Sampinos & coffee at The Trade…always with her beloved dachshund Tulli by her side.
