Member of CDP since 2015 (founding member)
While born in Port Jervis, NY, Mr. Keane traveled south at an early age with his family to South Carolina, where he spent his formative years & began his earliest dance studies. His passion for the performing arts was nurtured at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities, where he received the majority of his formal dance education.
Dylan has been a member of the Sacramento Ballet, Richmond Ballet & of the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, the latter with whom he toured to Oman & performed George Balanchine’s Dances Concertantes at the Royal Opera House Muscat. Throughout his dance career he has performed principal roles in multiple classical ballets including La Bayedere, Giselle, The Nutcracker as well as multiple works by George Balanchine. He has also had the pleasure of being a featured dancer in works by notable choreographers Ma Cong, Gabrielle Lamb & Septime Webre. In past CDP seasons, Dylan has worked with artists Schuyler Petersen, Sunya Whitelight & Waylon Horner. Mr. Keane is thankful to once again be a part of such a loving group of artists & to have such a caring arts community in Sacramento.
While discovering Sac-town on his bicycle with his dog Molly – Dylan enjoys checking out the local music scene, relaxing at home with a good book, & drawing or writing in his spare time.
